Description
Welcoming individuals interested in serving Watsonville's NDMVA program by becoming an AmeriCorps member for a local school, environmental education program, food bank, or women's shelter. Our team serves the beautiful Pajaro Valley, providing additional support to the schools which are stretched thin and the social services which could always use an extra hand in reaching out to populations needing support. In addition to service at their primary site, our members join a diverse team of 5-10 supportive and dedicated individuals for orientation, biweekly meetings, and team service projects throughout the year. Candidates may apply for a specific site (school, food bank or shelter), or indicate an order of preference when they apply. Please apply at ndmva.org/apply/. Member's are eligible for a range of benefits found at ndmva.org/, not the least of which in California is an increased education award of $10,000 at the completion of the service year.
