Pajaro Valley Loaves and Fishes is a community-based free food pantry dedicated to providing nutritious food to the Watsonville and surrounding communities. Our Notre Dame AmeriCorps member supports our mission by helping directly distribute food to the pantry and lunch guests and recruit and manage wonderful community volunteers, Monday through Friday. It is a rewarding, collaborative, guest-centric environment.
Ready to become an essential service member to your community? We are seeking, full-time AmeriCorps members to serve in Watsonville August, 2024 - June 2025.
Notre Dame Mission Volunteers - AmeriCorps (ndmva.org) members serve in Watsonville and around the country, supporting the community by providing educational assistance in the school district as well as volunteer recruitment and support at local nonprofits. We are looking forward to onboarding our 2024-2025 team!
Members serve full-time, August, 2024 - June 2025. and receive a range of benefits, including:
Living Stipend, totaling up to $29,000 pre-tax, distributed biweekly
Health Insurance, including mental healthcare coverage
Student loan forbearance
Child Care assistance if applicable
Subsidized rentals available in Watsonville ($400/mo)
Ongoing training and professional development support, and national MidYear conference in Baltimore, MD.
Combined Segal Education Award and California for All Education Awards for a total of $10,000, pre-tax to be used for higher education expenses.
