We transform lives using the power of National Service to solve complex social problems.

  • About Us
As a nonprofit organization, we’ve been growing since the early 2000s when our first program, Reading Corps, launched in 2003. Math Corps followed in 2008 and since then we’ve grown to offer programs nationally. Our programs are administered through a formal partnership with ServeMinnesota and fueled by research from the National Science + Service Collaborative.

Today we offer evidence-based AmeriCorps programs in three focus areas: education, environment and healthy futures. We’re leaders and innovators in national service and employ 200 employees across the country. Together we support more than 2,000 AmeriCorps members as they serve their communities and make an incredible collective impact.
  • Our Impact
Education: Our Reading Corps and Math Corps tutoring programs combine the science of reading and math instruction with the power of relationships to help students age three to grade eight build the foundational literacy and math skills needed to be successful academically and in life.

Environment: Our Climate Impact Corps uses evidenced based strategies to help our communities mitigate and adapt to climate change. Members support forestry initiatives, home energy improvements, and help build community resiliency.

Healthy Futures: Our Healthy Futures programming helps people overcome barriers and work to strengthen their futures. These programs currently include Recovery Corps, Heading Home Corps, and Public Health Corps.

Education Programs

Every student has something special to offer, but they don't all have access to the resources and support they need to thrive. Our evidence-based programs are delivered in schools and designed to give kids a chance to shine. We offer three program areas: Reading Corps, Math Corps and Early Learning Corps.

Environmental Programs

Across Minnesota, we are experiencing higher temperatures, more extreme weather, intense flooding, and changes in our ecosystem. These climate changes are a result of increasing concentrations of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. In the Twin Cities, annual average temperatures increased by 3.2°F from 1951 to 2020, which was faster than both the national and global rates of increase. These changes in Minnesota’s climate have serious consequences for human health and well-being. AmeriCorps members serving in Climate Impact Corps, use evidence-based strategies to help communities mitigate and adapt to climate change.

Healthy Futures Programs

Our Healthy Futures programming helps people overcome barriers and work to strengthen their futures. These programs currently include Recovery Corps, Heading Home Corps, Resettlement Corps and Public Health Corps.

Summer Impact Programs

Help meet community needs this summer as part of Summer Impact Corps. Whether providing support for youth enrichment and education, people experiencing homelessness, or local environmental challenges, you’ll have the opportunity to give back and make an incredible impact.
