Goal of this Position: To coordinate research and engagement in resident-driven community needs.
Successful individuals in this role are strong communicators and team-builders who can navigate diverse cultures, norms, and barriers; have experience conversing with residents and providing motivation for their engagement; are able to multi-task and work on multiple projects at the same time; have some experience leading projects, events, or service activities.
Projects include: coordinating research & engagement in resident-driven needs. Conducting an ongoing listening campaign in which resident conversations, needs, desires, and barriers are recorded and compiled into reporting & promotional materials; creating training & implementation plans of listening campaign activities & large-scale community events to be replicated by residents & area community leaders; developing best practices from relevant research to enact activities expressed in listening campaign; with the Resource Development VISTA research & pursue additional funding opportunities to support SPN activities.
