Description

The RC’s role will span across three main realms. As is true of all BRYC staff members, she or he will also
have a number of secondary, but nonetheless critical, responsibilities.
• Realm 1: Resource Portal: The RC will build and help maintain an online portal for academic and
community resources that our Fellows can benefit from. The RC will also build online systems
whereby Fellows and parents/guardians can submit general inquiries about BRYC and be directed to
useful responses. In this realm, the RC’s goal is to ensure that BRYC’s online resource portal stays
stocked with valuable community resources and opportunities that our Fellows can take advantage
of. The RC’s charge is also to ensure there is an efficient online process through which Fellows and
their parents/guardians can get answers to general BRYC questions.
• Realm 2: Data: The RC will play a critical role in helping the Managing Director of Academics and
Resource Administration conduct our data collection and analysis processes. This means helping to
build systems for organization-wide data collection, ensuring proper tracking of data in BRYC’s
customer relations management system, and producing reports to assist BRYC’s staff with data
analysis. Additionally, it means institutionalizing processes that the BRYC staff can build upon in the
future.
• Realm 3: Archiving: The RC will help the Managing Director of Academics and Resource
Administration build systems and processes whereby BRYC staff members effectively store
documents for ease of future use and access. In this realm, the RC’s goal is to help BRYC create and
implement policies to ensure consistent storage of electronic documents.
• Realm 4: Secondary Responsibilities: All BRYC staff members must have an “all hands on deck”
approach to our work. That is, they must be willing to provide support outside their core roles. The
ASC will be asked to provide support with projects outside his/her main job scope, including but not
limited to:
o Helping the Managing Director of Academics and Resource Administration ensure there
is sufficient space coverage so Fellow safety is never in question
o Supporting staff members with end-of-semester grade collection
o Engaging with programs that interest the RC and generally being supportive to Fellows
o Supporting with miscellaneous program and operational issues that arise unexpectedly
