Serve Louisiana members commit to 11 months of full-time service with a partner organization in South Louisiana that improve lives through social justice, mental health and wellness, education, youth development and environmental preservation. Corps members serve in the areas of program development, volunteer coordination, community outreach, and technology and social media. In exchange for their service, corps members receive a living stipend, an education award, health insurance, and tons of personal and professional development, mentorship, and networking.

Community Need Addressed

Corps members and partner organizations work towards continually healthier, more sustainable and more equitable South Louisiana communities for each new generation of children and families.

Position Outcomes

Corps members serve in capacity-building roles in the areas of program development, volunteer coordination, community outreach, and technology and social media at partner organizations in South Louisiana.

Partner Organizations improve lives through social justice, mental health and wellness, education, youth development and environmental preservation.

Serve Louisiana members work with a single partner organization from September 1st through July 31st. Here’s what you can expect: + A full time workload + Major Medical Insurance + 10 personal days and federal holidays off + In-depth personal and professional development + $6,895 education award upon graduation, which may be applied to student loans or additional education + $24,000 annual living allowance, paid twice monthly + Student loan forbearance + Child care reimbursement + Valuable networking opportunities
