The primary roles of the LDSC corps member will be to provide volunteer coordination and
community outreach for the BIA. The corps member will work closely with BIA board members (who
are all residents and volunteers) to create a framework and structure for various community
engagement projects throughout the neighborhood ranging from a food pantry, to an oral history
project, neighborhood beautification and a racial equity dialogue. The LDSC corps member will
design a process by which community members are recruited on an ongoing basis to
volunteer/participate in each of these ongoing programs/projects.
