TXCC - Austin, TX

Texas Conservation Corps' Headquarters is based in Austin, TX. Started in 1993 and was formerly called Environmental Corps before changing to Texas Conservation Corps. Here we operate our Conservation Crews: Conservation & Disaster Crews and our state parks dedicated trail crew, Trails Across Texas. Our Individual Placement program is operated in Austin, we place Individual AmeriCorps members at sites throughout the region where they spend the duration of their term: Sabine National Forest, San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, and Davy Crockett National Forest.

TxCC - Houston, TX

Texas Conservation Corps based in Houston Texas started in the summer of 2016 thanks to a partnership with the Galveston Bay Foundation. Since then our Houston operating site has grown to encompass not only our Conservation Crews but our newly created Harvey Strike Teams and our Clean & Green Program. Harvey Strike Teams, created in September of 2018, address the long term disaster recovery needs of the Houston area after Hurricane Harvey. Our Clean & Green program is in partnership with the Harris County District Attorney's Office and was designed to divert non-violent first time offenders around the justice system and into community service opportunities providing a restorative alternative to traditional prosecution, which benefits offenders and the community.
