Description
The student literacy position is ideal for someone who has experience working with young children and enjoys helping children learn to read. In cooperation with classroom teachers, these members serve low income children by helping them improve literacy skills through one-on-one and small group instruction as part of the Springfield Promise Neighborhood PromiseCorps programs.
Part-time positions in one of four Springfield City Elementary Schools: Fulton, Kenwood, Lincoln, and Perrin Woods Elementary. Flexible hours depending on teacher/classroom schedules and after-school programming.

Additional Benefits
Springfield Promise Neighborhood has built a partnership with Clark State Community College to provide assistance for target families or PromiseCorps members interested in enrolling in secondary education opportunities. An introductory class will provide credit hours towards a degree, certificate, or licensure program offered at Clark State.
