Two positions available:
1. Elementary Literacy Support: provide one-on-one or small-group support in literacy and reading to children who are below grade level or struggling in grades K-3.
2. Kindergarten Readiness Support: provide one-on-one or small-group support in literacy and reading to children who are preparing to enter Kindergarten, as well as provide support, resources, and advocacy for their families.

Service Activities

Provide ongoing support academically and socially to students who are behind grade level or who are struggling; provide ongoing support to parents to ensure their child's success when entering Kindergarten; provide promotion and recruitment efforts for neighborhood-based events hosted by residents or community-based organizations.

Community Need Addressed

Educational and social success of elementary-age children in low-income neighborhoods; kindergarten readiness and success of pre-school children in low-income neighborhoods
