Description
The early childhood PromiseCorps position is ideal for someone who cares about the growth and development of young children and who can support young parents in the earliest years of infancy. Members will be charged with working in partnership with local early childhood programs. These include working with the Parent Infant Center at the Rocking Horse Community Health Center the Early Head Start program offered by the Springfield City Schools. These efforts coincide with the overall mission of PromiseCorps which is to assist children from low income communities and families succeed in school through kindergarten preparation and developing early literacy skills.
Part-time positions; flexible hours depending on teacher/classroom schedules and early childhood programming.

Additional Benefits
Springfield Promise Neighborhood has built a partnership with Clark State Community College to provide assistance for target families or PromiseCorps members interested in enrolling in secondary education opportunities. An introductory class will provide credit hours towards a degree, certificate, or licensure program offered at Clark State.
