Description
The Homeless Action Network of Detroit (HAND) aims to provide leadership to address homelessness. HAND serves as a source of community support for service providers by securing funding for projects providing housing and services, ensuring the community has the data it needs, and convening partners to work on common goals. The VISTA will help to build on the core service of convening partners to work on systemic goals, meeting a significant need to engage the community and build awareness. In doing so, HAND will be able to best implement programs that help people experiencing homelessness in obtaining and maintaining self-sufficiency. Questions about this project can be directed to the Program Director at kbeavers@mihomeless.org and Project Site Supervisor at tasha@handetroit.org
