Description

Community enCompass (CenC) envisions neighborhoods where all the assets of their community are fully utilized, in which all neighbors have identified and have opportunity to use their gifts toward the building and strengthening of their community. They support this by providing affordable housing and homeownership opportunities, being a catalyst for community-wide rebuilding efforts, and walking alongside neighbors as they provide leadership of their own neighborhood impact. The CenC VISTA would build the capacity of the organization to serve the growing numbers of people experiencing housing crisis because of poverty through helping build a robust volunteer management system, finding grants to support the organization, and strengthening local partnerships. Questions about this project can be directed to the Program Director at kbeavers@mihomeless.org and Project Site Supervisor at john@communityencompass.org
