The AmeriCorps member will serve as a College Coach to help support retention, persistence, and student success work within the Vice Provost for Student Success Office (VPSS). Working with the VPSS, Associate Vice Provost, and the Dean of Students, the AmeriCorps member will support the following initiatives: New Student Enrollment process, Parent and Family Association and Council, Student Success and Retention Task Force, Career Readiness, and Faculty Fellow Program.

Service Activities

As an AmeriCorps College Coach, you will work with the Admissions Office to connect with and guide prospective students through the new student orientation process from admittance to course registration. You will also help establish the Fall 2024 Parent and Family Council, create and establish the homecoming parent reception, and create and plan the parent reception for the summer 2025 student move-in. You will curate content for the Parent and Family Portal through resources such as news updates, blogs, and support any upcoming events. You will assist the Faculty Fellow program in updating the student demographic campaign. You will also support Experiential Learning and Student Success to promote career readiness and support the Carnegie Community Engagement Task Force. You will also analyze and create tools for student admissions and registrations systems.
