Montana Campus Compact (MTCC) advances the public purposes of colleges and universities by deepening their ability to improve community life and to educate students for civic and social responsibility.

MTCC is a statewide CEO-led network of college and university presidents, deans and chancellors who have made a formal commitment to fulfilling the civic purposes of higher education. These individuals serve as board of directors for the organization, which employs a network office staff, based in Missoula, Montana. MTCC is part of a nationwide network that includes a national headquarters in Boston, 35 state and regional offices, and over 1,000 Campus Compact member institutions.

  • About Us
Campus Compact is a higher education network and our campuses partner in numerous ways with community, from student volunteerism to service learning and community based research and more. We celebrate student community engagement with awards and scholarships.

Campus Compact operates both an AmeriCorps State program and an AmeriCorps VISTA program. These programs support campus community partnerships, work to address poverty problems, create new pathways for college access and success, and address myriad other community needs.
  • Our Impact
MTCC national service programs are responsible for removing barriers to post-secondary education and helping first generation and low income Montanans apply for, finance and ultimately succeed in college. Our VISTAs have built capacity for food pantries, afterschool programs, local college access networks, campus-based service learning offices, and college access programs. MTCC AmeriCorps State members have engaged high school students in near-peer mentorship, hosted FAFSA nights for students and families, helped students apply for scholarships, led campus visits, and supported summer college access and success programming.
