Description

As the oldest free healthcare clinic in the United States, Cabrini Clinic provides a holistic approach towards meeting the primary health care needs of economically disadvantaged residents of metro Detroit and beyond. They serve those who fall through the medical-social safety net and help connect them with basic resources. They offer education, prevention, and treatment without charge, but with deep compassion and respect for the people they serve and their needs. A Mercy Volunteer supports the daily operations of the clinic as a patient navigator and clinic assistant. The volunteer will provide hospitality, supporting patient intake and documentation, organizing events, and various front desk responsibilities. It is preferred that the volunteer has fluency in Spanish, but is not required.
