Through my service with AmeriCorps I had to build trust with strangers fast to complete my service. I am from Kentucky and my move to Chicago to serve was very quick. My living situation when I 1st moved here was an On-Campus dorm. Making the adjustment back to dorm life after having an apartment on my own was hard but I was able to do it. Having to share living space and personal objects were hard at 1st but I soon became accustomed to having roommates and I go the chance to meet some really cool people. Overall I would say trusting strangers is an important skill because it allows you to meet new people and open up your mind to different ways of living. #serviceyear100 @serviceyear
