  Angelo State University is currently hosting the AmeriCorps VISTA program. The Concho Valley VISTA Placement Program [CVVPP] matches VISTA members with local agencies to combat poverty with projects dedicated to building capacity and access to services in the Concho Valley.
  Concho Valley is a region in West Texas. The region takes its name from the, Concho River, "shell" in Spanish, named due to its abundance of freshwater mussels in the river.
