Description
Resident teachers will serve in 14 month residency working a co-teacher along side a host teacher while also earning a Masters of Science in Education from Urban Teachers' higher education partner--Johns Hopkins University School of Education. They will receive over 1400 hours in real classroom experience learning their craft while also having an enormous impact in the classroom and working with small groups of students.

Costs:
- $40,000 tuition for Johns Hopkins Masters in Education degree
-Eligibility e for federal financial aid to cover these tuition costs
-Individuals coming to Urban Teachers with a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award may also use it towards tuition costs
-Urban Teachers is apart of AmeriCorps Professional Corps which means you can also earn up to two Segal AmeriCorps Education Awards while working with Urban Teachers (earning up to two Segal Awards in a lifetime)
-There are other financial aid options such as the Teach Grant and Johns Hopkins University School of Education institutional grants.
