Description
UECC is an opportunity for undergraduates to build career experience, leadership skills and make a difference in the lives of youth in the Eastside of Riverside. UECC is offering part time positions to undergraduates who are interested in doing a paid year of service by tutoring and community service events. Members will tutor in English Language Arts and/or math students in grades K-12. Assigned sites are in classrooms or in after school programs in community centers. All sites are located near the UC Riverside campus. Community service immerse members in the city's local culture. Some examples include street clean ups, the Festival of Lights, and the Tamale Festival.
