Description

EDC program staff works with partner agencies to ensure successful member placement. Candidates go through a comprehensive online application, program and partner site interviews and background checks. When members commit to EDC they are committing to a 6-month service term during which time they are expected to complete at least 900 hours of service at their host site. Members are provided health insurance options, childcare subsidies, student loan forbearance, an education award and a living stipend.

The AmeriCorps Member will be responsible for first contact and managing inbound leads for West Side NHS Homeownership, Lending, and Counseling programs. Their main responsibilities will include client and file management for prospective homebuyers and homeowners, including managing the customer experience and ensuring file accuracy and completeness.

West Side Neighborhood Housing Services (WSNHS) mission is to provide solutions as a foundation for individuals, families and neighborhoods to build vibrant communities. WSNHS is a private, not-for-profit full-cycle housing agency dedicated to preserving and revitalizing Buffalo's neighborhoods by providing safe, affordable and sustainable housing opportunities for all. Our programs and services include financial capability and homebuyer education, closing cost assistance, post-purchase education, home improvement loans and foreclosure prevention counseling.
