What is the SolarCorps Fellowship Program…
GRID Alternatives’ SolarCorps Fellowship Program is an opportunity for highly motivated and enthusiastic community members to join GRID Alternatives for an 11-month paid service term. In this position, you’ll gain valuable experience in the renewable energy and non-profit industries while making significant contributions to communities most impacted by environmental and economic injustice!

Service Activities

Position Responsibilities:
● Facilitate field lessons, workshops, for trainees and youth
● Build and maintain partnerships with local job training organizations, workforce development ● partners, and the general public in regard to youth programming
● Network with solar industry employers
● Help recruit, select, and manage job trainees
● Update data to track workforce development efforts in organization data management system
● Coordinate volunteers for participants on GRID Alternatives solar installation projects including recruiting participants, giving orientation and organizing volunteer days

Community Need Addressed

Un- and Under-employed community members receive job training and placement assistance

Position Outcomes

At least 350 Un- or Under-employed individuals receive job training and placement assistance
