Preservation Alliance of WV is the statewide nonprofit dedicated to historic preservation in our Mountain State.

• About Us
  The Preserve WV AmeriCorps program is Preservation Alliance of West Virginia’s statewide service initiative to promote cultural heritage tourism and enhance historic resource re-use and redevelopment projects in West Virginia. AmeriCorps members complete historic resource improvement service projects with the goals of increased use of historic assets. Historic resources generally include buildings, museum collections, archives, and oral histories. Particular focus is placed on non-profit capacity building through organizational policy development, volunteer management, and community engagement.
• Our Impact
  The Preserve WV AmeriCorps program increases the use of historic resources, which can frequently be dilapidated. These re-use projects enhance economic development in rural communities and towns. Members also increase the capacity of nonprofit organizations by recruiting and managing volunteers and working with nonprofit staff and boards to streamline processes for getting things done.
