The NC Hunger Corps is a team of AmeriCorps VISTA members who are placed at a college, university, or community-based organization, to support on- or off-campus hunger relief programs, including those assisting low-income or disadvantaged college students and staff.

Service Activities

Recruiting and training volunteers, Community & agency assessment, Resource Development through fund-raising and grant-writing, Creating publicity and outreach materials.

Community Need Addressed

Hunger relief and awareness.

Position Outcomes

Connecting colleges and universities with the community, to support local hunger relief.
