The TRIO Upward Bound program at the University of Montana serves students from the University of Montana, Hellgate High School, Big Sky High School, and Browning High School, helping them to develop the skills and motivation they will need for success in post-secondary education.

Service Activities

In this position you will communicate with partner schools to identify participants for the Upward Bound program and conduct after-school mentorship sessions with high school students. You will also support in preparing and delivering the Upward Bound Summer Academy. Additionally, you will help to recruit and support a team of college AmeriCorps members to further expand the mentorship activities of the Upward Bound program.

Community Need Addressed

To increase postsecondary attainment, college access preparation in addition academic mentoring are needed.

Position Outcomes
