The Root & The Bloom Collective is a nonprofit organization that raises funds to support the arts and culture programming provided by the Historic Clark Chateau. The Clark Chateau works collaboratively with local youth to create tangible projects that can be shared with the public, thereby building self-esteem and supporting self-guided expression.

Service Activities

In this position you will develop an artists’ residency program at the Jacobs House in Butte, design a program for students at the University of Montana Western School of Education to obtain student teaching credits through the Clark Chateau’s youth programs, and create a work study program that will allow students to support with arts and humanities programming at the Clark Chateau.

Community Need Addressed

Poverty and access to Arts and Humanities. Many Butte citizens lack exposure to other cultures and artistic and humanities experiences beyond Butte.

Position Outcomes

Enhance the exposure of adults and children in Butte to high-quality arts and humanities programming, encouraging them to engage with the arts and expand their worldview and opportunity horizon
