A challenge I’ve faced in my service year is…

....trying to find somewhere to live. Moving from Mississippi to NYC is no easy feat. It was definitely difficult to arrive to a new and quite large city, and be homeless for a couple of nights. However, City Year linked with @Airbnb to get me somewhere to stay while I figure out my living situation. My housing was in a great area, but getting to know my host during the transition was difficult. She didn't quite know the area, but it definitely gave me a chance to explore and learn what NYC has to offer. I was glad that despite the situation, I still made it worth my while.
