My typical day goes like this:

I have only been working with City Year for a little over 1 1/2 months yet it feels like the day never ends. My typical work day looks like the following... I wake up at 5:50 am, leave the house around 6:25 am, I take 2 buses and get to work around 6:50 am. I start work at 7:15 am, have class from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm, followed by either training or our afterschool program. I leave work around 5:30 pm/6:00 pm, get home around 6:30 pm, take a shower, make dinner, make lunch for the next day, and go to bed around 9:00 pm.

The days seem to mesh together with no differentiation, however despite the long draining days, I wouldn't change this schedule for anything. Right now I know this is where I belong. I will continue to try my best each and every day to positively change the lives of my students, in hopes that they positively change their communities, nation, and world one day.
