The project development VISTA member develops and implements new programs, creates or improves policies or procedures, and develops strategies to build leadership and leverage resources that increase the number of families served through the Habitat mission. This could look like developing plans to engage veterans at the community level, designing a home preservation program or laying the foundation for a neighborhood revitalization program.

• Habitat AmeriCorps members receive a variety of position-specific trainings, including CPR and First Aid and Lockton Safety Courses.
• Host sites may choose to offer additional benefits to AmeriCorps members, such as free or reduced-cost housing, grocery gift cards, transportation vouchers, payments made to rental agencies or landlords, etc.
