Description

Our mission ultimately is to improve educational outcomes in underserved communities, and as a GO Fellow, you will serve as a full-time tutor and mentor for one of our partner schools in the Northeast region until the end of June. Fellows are an integral part of our school communities and will immerse themselves in the culture and routine in the school where you serve. You will support students academically in math and ELA, and also foster their social-emotional growth. In addition, fellows provide general school support, such as phoning home, hallway/lunch supervision, and leading extracurricular activities. By providing individualized instruction to and developing meaningful relationships with students, you play an integral role in preparing them for their education and beyond. This is a service role through AmeriCorps with regular full-time hours.
