Description

FLCC Project A.N.T. members are stationed in pairs within a selected Florida State Park for the duration of one service term. These members will work side by side to manage invasive plant species and educate the public on the impact of these plants on the natural habitat. Members will use various methods of treatment such as herbicide (all members receive training), hand removal, and prescribed fire.

Once applications are reviewed, potential members will have the opportunity to choose which parks they are interested in. Information will be sent to include which parks offer housing and where our host parks are located. Site supervisors at the park itself are responsible for conducting interviews. Host parks change each year as it is a competitive application process for the parks, the list is not available until after the applications have been opened.
