Emily completed their Service Year with Maine Conservation Corps in Augusta, ME 04330.
Something I really enjoyed in my service was getting to know the different organizations and agencies that come together to collaborate on projects such as habitat restoration for state and federally endangered wildlife in the state of Maine. I admire and love the fact that people come together to work as a team to achieve a common goal for wildlife that cannot otherwise voice their opinions. My term of service taught me that being an environmental steward is not just for conserving and saving our beautiful planet, but conserving and sharing the knowledge and passion for becoming successful stewards of the earth.
