Chelan-Douglas Land Trust (CDLT) was established in 1985, and the membership has grown to
include over 1,900 households. CDLT serves a large and geographically diverse region spanning
from the forests of the Cascade crest to the beautiful shrub-steppes of Douglas County. Taking care
of the lands and conservation easements entrusted to us is our most fundamental responsibility.
CDLT also offers public access for hiking, mountain biking and engaging with the natural world on
our fee owned parcels. We are passionate about focusing on how healthy communities are
connected to healthy landscapes and place an emphasis on becoming more inclusive and making all
of the CDLT public access areas welcoming to all.

This AmeriCorps position will have the unique opportunity to support CDLT staff and gain skills in the
following areas: trail maintenance, trail planning and design, new trail construction, work crew
training and development, weed monitoring and control, riparian and sage brush steppe habitat
restoration, trailhead monitoring, and participation in outreach and community engagement events.
All positions will abide by AmeriCorps Prohibited Activities as in the Member Service Agreement.
The AmeriCorps member can also participate in Committee, Board, and staff meetings to learn
about non-profit organizations and management. The Director of Stewardship and Trails will also
