  The Washington Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) will tap the knowledge, skills and abilities of veterans by engaging them in AmeriCorps national service positions which will enable them to make a positive difference in their community and improve their quality of life as a civilian.
• Our Impact
  Veterans and their families are transitioning to communities across the nation. The G.I.Bill and other educational options place a higher percentage of those transitioning at higher education institutions. The primary impact of Vet Corps is to provide a peer mentor and solid advocate for those in transition, increasing the likely hood of degree completion and graduation. Degree completion and graduation increases the Veterans and family members likelihood of long-term success.
