Serve Idaho promotes collaborative efforts among private and nonprofit organizations, schools and state and local government agencies to advance national service programs and volunteerism throughout the state. Our mission is to encourage volunteerism and community service. We are here to Serve Idaho!

Who are we?

Volunteering is part of Idaho's culture and it shows! Idaho has ranked second in the nation for volunteering two years in a row. Over one hundred AmeriCorps State members serving in five programs throughout the state address challenging community needs including health care and health education, veterans' employment, tutoring and mentoring, environmental education and environmental stewardship. In the last program year alone, Idaho AmeriCorps members have made Idaho better by improving the health knowledge of over 1,100 Idahoans, assisting over 200 veterans in gaining employment, improving nearly 3,000 acres of public land and improving over 100 miles of trails and rivers. Whatever your passion for volunteerism may be, Serve Idaho can help connect you to an opportunity. Join us! Let's #GetThingsDone for Idaho!

Why Serve Idaho?

AmeriCorps members in Idaho have the unique opportunity to serve in rural communities accessible to outdoor adventures and Idaho's scenic beauty while making the world a better place. Our five programs each offer a different opportunity to meet the needs of diverse communities throughout Idaho. Whether providing health screenings, teaching health education, providing environmental education or building trails and planting trees, as you serve, you will grow. Volunteering will help you develop your soft skills, build networks in the nonprofit and government sectors, and increase your chances of getting employed by 27%. What are you waiting for? Come Serve Idaho for an opportunity to change your life and the lives of others!
