Job Title
Fundraising Coordinator – AmeriCorps VISTA

Description
This one-year, full-time position has a major role in the development of sustainable and effective fundraising and marketing practices at Community Connections. Duties will include researching and applying for grants, developing systems and infrastructure for fundraising events, creating marketing materials for a new legacy endowment fund, and improving systems for donor tracking and outreach.

This opportunity allows the Fundraising VISTA member to explore nonprofit fundraising and marketing.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Marketing, Business, Nonprofit Management, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field). 1-3 years of experience in marketing, public relations, communications or a related field preferred.

Skills
Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and WordPress. Video and image editing skills are a plus. Ability to prioritize duties while multi-tasking, strong organizational and problem solving skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to client, staff, and stakeholders. Self-motivated and punctual; Creative and professional. Outgoing and willing to make contact with unfamiliar prospects. Ability to achieve goals with minimal supervision.

Benefits
This position is funded through the national and state AmeriCorps VISTA program. This position does not receive an hourly wage but a benefit package that includes: Monthly living allowance ($1,333), relocation costs ($0.34/mile up to $1000) and settling in allowance ($550), health benefits, child care assistance, training, and an Education Award ($5,815) or cash stipend ($1,500) and a multitude of training opportunities. In addition, there may be a possible reduced rent shared housing opportunity with other Ketchikan VISTAS.
