The AmeriCorps Site Coordinator is the face of Reading Partners within our reading centers in elementary schools, leading the full-time program coordination, operations, and relationship development at their school. The AmeriCorps Regional Site Coordinator plays a critical role in our school-based team within the region. This role serves as a mobile coordinator to support multiple reading centers.The AmeriCorps Literacy Lead is a direct tutoring support within our reading centers, focusing on target students in need of more individualized instruction.

Our school-based AmeriCorps members will serve directly with community volunteers and elementary students, in schools, in order to ultimately address the literacy crisis and provide the highest quality literacy support possible. After receiving a ton of education & literacy training, our members train and manage community volunteers, directly tutor and assess students, and develop strong and lasting relationships with everyone on the school's campus to make a lasting and positive impact on each of our student's lives.
With the support of our AmeriCorps members, elementary school students who struggle in reading will end the school year much closer to grade level, and much more confident in their reading than when they began in the program. Relationships between student, tutor, and school will be built and strengthened.

At the start of each program year, Reading Partners holds an intensive program orientation training to take a deeper dive into our program, foster relationships with regional teams, and learn the skills necessary to execute their respective AmeriCorps role.
