Environmental Stewards

Description

Environmental Stewards serve 1700 or 900 hour AmeriCorps terms. Their term of service begins with one to two weeks of training with the Maine Conservation Corps before being paired with a Host Site. Environmental Stewards are tasked with expanding the capacity of local organization by accomplishing conservation initiatives. The activities of stewards vary by the needs of host sites; past projects have included: water quality monitoring, volunteer management, habitat restoration, environmental education, small scale recreational trail projects, and much more.
