Description

Commitment Dates: August 1, 2024- August 31st, 2025

Position Summary: AmeriCorps Stability Mentors support pregnant and parenting women formerly experiencing homelessness who are now housed in a loving, caring environment at Maggie’s Place in Phoenix, Arizona.

As a live-out AmeriCorps member, you will be an integral member of the staff team at one of our five Maggie's Place homes. Live-out AmeriCorps will support the live-in staff, providing house coverage including some evenings and weekends, and 2-3 overnight shifts a month.

Using a trauma-informed care approach, they create a safe, welcoming, home-like environment for the moms so moms can focus on achieving their goals.

This role allows for flexible scheduling, but must be available for full day on Monday and biannual retreat (Tuesday-Friday) in October and April.

About Us: Maggie’s Place provides safe housing and a nurturing community for homeless pregnant women, empowering them to thrive throughout their lifetime. Visit https://www.maggiesplace.org/americorps/ for more information! Please visit Americorps.gov for more information on AmeriCorps.
