We do this by placing approximately 50 Volunteers in full-time positions at social justice organizations. Year Volunteers live together in intentional community, practicing simple and sustainable living, while exploring spirituality. LVC offers housing for yearlong service, modest stipend, health insurance, and paid vacation time.

This position: After an initial period of in-depth orientation and training, this full-time volunteer will come to understand the wide range of activities that are required to compassionately support residents and extended family of men and women who have become well and live independently. The LVC volunteer will provide residents with companionship, assist in case management, accompany residents to medical appointments, help with housekeeping, and assist residents with personal care, among other activities.
