Description
Searching for an opportunity to gain conservation experience and explore the outdoors? Louisiana Conservation Corps (LaCC) is looking to fill GulfCorps Crew Leader and member openings for the 2023-2024 term year.
The program is based out of Baton Rouge, LA and aims to empower young people through conservation, education, service, and job training. Participants engage in hands-on projects on public lands, coastal regions, and occasionally in disaster areas.
Louisiana Conservation Corps (LaCC) is a part of the GulfCorps Initiative alongside the Texas Conservation Corps (TXCC) – For the upcoming season we are looking for dedicated young adults to work with us. LaCC and TXCC provide our members with hands-on opportunities, extensive training in conservation and coastal restoration, and the freedom to develop personally and professionally.
In this program the primary focus is gulf and coastal restoration with the potential to conduct prescribed burns. Crews will receive training and education on how prescribed burns impact the environment with Wildland Fire Trainings. There are also structured professional development for future career expansion and exploration after the gulf corps program!
