Financial Literacy Coordinator

LifeBridge Financial Literacy Coordinators will help economically disadvantaged adults access services and resources to meet their basic needs.

Service Activities

Teach economically disadvantaged adults financial literacy via the Money Smart for Adults financial literacy training curriculum.
Assist individuals to receive resources they need through WV 211.
Complete free tax preparation assistance through VITA.
Refer individuals to needed resources to become more financially stable and secure.

Community Need Addressed

Low financial literacy levels and high poverty levels in disadvantaged West Virginia adults.

Position Outcomes

*Increased knowledge of the importance of saving part of tax return for future necessities.

*Increased learning of area resources available to help with basic needs.

*Increased financial literacy.
