Refugee Housing Coach

Coach refugees towards self-sufficiency in caring for their first homes in the US, preparing homes for refugee arrivals, and educating refugees about housing subsidies, maintenance, and protections.

Service Activities

• Secure housing for refugee clients in cooperation with case managers
• Set up refugee housing in compliance with Federal Cooperative Agreement
• Support and educate refugees through the lease signing process
• Manage donation inventory to ensure stock of core R&P items and warehouse organization related to refugee housing
• Complete all necessary client file documentation of services
• Educate and empower refugees on continuous housing maintenance
• Coordinate volunteers in activities relating to housing/inventory
• Create or participate in an AmeriCorps member service project
