The mission of the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County is to improve the quality of life in our community by promoting and achieving literacy.
Our goal is to ensure that every child and every adult in Palm Beach County can read.

    In addition to Literacy AmeriCorps, the Literacy Coalition operates 9 programs that directly serve and impact families, children and adults. These programs include 2 Family Literacy Centers, Workplace and Community Education, Children's Literacy, an Anti-Bullying program and Health Literacy.

Literacy AmeriCorps Palm Beach County Programs

Literacy AmeriCorps Palm Beach County

Literacy AmeriCorps recruits, trains and places 30 full time AmeriCorps members in schools, libraries and nonprofit organizations each year. Members tutor children in reading, provide homework help for children and youth, tutor adults in literacy, employability and English language skills, and mentor high school students at-risk of dropping out or not graduating with a standard diploma.
