Description
The Montana Legal Services Association (MLSA) is a federally and privately funded nonprofit organization that provides legal services to low-income people throughout Montana. The AmeriCorps member will support MLSA by performing intake and working on outreach projects. The member will provide services to clients including helping process applications and providing legal information. The member will also assist attorneys with case management, attend court hearings when appropriate, and assist with day-to-day office needs. Additionally, the member will develop outreach projects and build relationships with other service providers in the community. Members will have the opportunity to focus on housing, family law, Indian Law, or pro bono programs depending on the position.
