The mission of the Illinois Public Health Association AmeriCorps Program is to strengthen the field of public health through the development of skilled and committed leaders. It accomplishes this mission by having its’ members help meet locally identified needs at health agencies across the state through community service in the following focus areas: health promotion, education, and outreach; volunteer coordination; and assistance with community emergency preparedness.   • About Us
    The Illinois Public Health Association is the oldest and largest public health association in the State of Illinois. As one of the largest affiliates of the American Public Health Association, IPHA is widely recognized as a leader in the field of public health advocacy, health education and promotion. IPHA serves as the administrative agency for several public health programs including the AmeriCorps program, a local health department billing program, and the HIV Care Connect program.
  • Our Impact
    The IPHA AmeriCorps Program has provided various health education and public health emergency preparedness services throughout Illinois since 2003. Each year, our AmeriCorps Members teach hundreds of individuals how to live a healthier lifestyles and how to be prepared in case of an emergency.
