Trillium Performing Arts is a community- based non-profit artist-run organization that creates original dance and movement theatre in Lewisburg, WV. As the company-in-residence at the historic downtown Lewis Theatre, Trillium creates concerts featuring original choreography with professional and community performers. Friday Night Alive! the signature performance opportunity for talent in many performance styles such as dance, music, writing and comedy, takes place almost every month. The Trillium School for Performing Arts provides classes in creative movement, contemporary dance, folk dance, hip-hop, QiGong, poetry, yoga and improvisation, along with hosting a summer day camp. Trillium Performing Youth, a group of talented, dedicated teens, performs for free in schools, residential homes for the elderly, concerts and festivals. Service Activities

• Provide ideas for, plan, and lead Trillium events and community service events.
• Make connections with individuals and volunteers in the community for program outreach and program enhancement.
• Train and assist volunteers
• Assisting dance teachers and technical staff
• Doing photography and video
• Event planning and involvement
• Graphic and marketing
• Community outreach.
• Strive to create an environment of learning and inspiration
• Create and facilitate workshops, events, and other programming
• Design and implement innovative, educational, and inspiring programs
• Serve as a support member for programming events and projects developed by fellow AmeriCorps members, staff, and community members
