Description

Join BLOOM365 to prevent teen dating abuse and sexual violence by strengthening peer to peer programs. The successful applicant will help scale up the Lead Peer Advocate program by developing and launching virtual onboarding and training materials. Abuse occurs at all income levels but according to the APA, the lower the income, the higher the prevalence of abuse. BLOOM365’s goal is to educate and activate 10% of youth in Arizona creating a tipping point to break the cycles of interpersonal violence so that empathy, respect, equality, consent and safety becomes the norm, not the exception in youth relationships. The future member should have solid writing skills, highly organized, and be technically savvy. Experience with on demand educational tools and or curriculum/training design is highly desirable as well as a connection to, or passion for, the mission of BLOOM365. ADDITIONAL BENEFITS: $600 professional development fund; $100 per/Qt grocery card.

For over 25 years, HandsOn Greater Phoenix has worked with nonprofits, Title I schools, neighborhood associations and government entities to assess and meet the volunteer needs of the Greater Phoenix area. The HandsOn VISTA program supports 10~ VISTA members at multiple placement sites across the valley. Our VISTA members enable our community service partners to expand capacity and build lasting infrastructure by creating the processes and tools needed to effectively access and utilize valuable resources. HandsOn VISTA members will improve their own capacity for leading communities during and beyond their terms of service by developing their knowledge, skills, and abilities related to volunteer mobilization, civic engagement, and other areas. In addition to the site-specific work of the individual role all of our VISTA members: participate in 2 AmeriCorps National Days of Service, lead projects at 2 HandsOn community service days, attend monthly VISTA team trainings with the other HandsOn VISTA members, and lead a monthly community volunteering opportunity.

APPLICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED ON A ROLLING BASIS UNTIL FILLED. PLEASE APPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE FOR BEST CONSIDERATION!
