Provide ongoing support to 20 VISTA members by providing professional development and networking opportunities, connecting members to resources and developing a network of support for VISTA members.

Service Activities

Assist VISTA Supervisor with facilitating recruitment of 20 VISTA members,including: screening, candidates and submitting formal notification of application status.Prepare and manage calendar for Pre-Service Orientation, professional development training and National Service Days to be disseminated to the hired Assist team with leadership development of VISTAs. Serve as resource in the development and delivery of training for VISTAs. Maintain regular communication with all VISTA members via phone, email, periodic in-person meetings, group network meetings and site visits. Manage weekly time sheets, performance and operate as the liaison for technical assistance. Monitor all VISTA workloads, output, effectiveness and efficiency of all staff.Investigate formal complaints and ensure closure. Ensure safe and appropriate working environments for all staff through close liaison with the site leadership.

Position Outcomes

A VISTA Leader serving at Greater Englewood CDC will help to ensure 20 VISTAs and VISTA supervisors can successfully build the capacity and ensure the sustainability of each VISTA project.
