Description

Project R.O.A.R. (Regional Outreach Awareness Recruiters) members are stationed throughout the Florida Park Service district administration offices and some state parks, working closely with district and park staff toward volunteer recruitment and management goals. These members spend the year recruiting volunteers through various outreach techniques including; developing interpretive materials, hosting events at parks, participating in tabling opportunities, program and state park promotion etc. Project R.O.A.R. members also assist with volunteer management and recognition efforts. They are educators for environmental stewardship, and help foster the service-related mindset. They also have the opportunity to participate in disaster relief within the state of Florida.

Site supervisors at the district or park itself are responsible for conducting interviews.
